Jaishree is the CEO of Envisionit Deep AI. She is a paediatric radiologist who has served the state health care system for 20 years. Jaishree pioneered the paediatric radiology sub-speciality after becoming the first South African qualified paediatric radiologist at the Red Cross War Memorial Hospital in 2010.
She has chaired the South African Society of Paediatric Imaging (SASPI) and the African Society of Paediatric Imaging (AfSPI). She was head of paediatric radiology at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg academic hospital and thereafter at Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital where she commissioned the department, set up governance systems, policies and protocols and successfully led the radiology team as the first department that opened the hospital in June 2017.
Jaishree serves on the Executive Council of the World Federation of Paediatric Imaging (WFPI) and African Society of Radiology (ASR). Her special area of interest in pattern recognition and deep learning in radiology is driven by her passion for her sub speciality and the need to positively influence the lives of children by offering sustainable healthcare solutions in Africa.
In 2019, Jaishree was a speaker at the World Federation of Pediatric Imaging at the SPR Congress in San Francisco. She was part of the Ladies who Launch: Round table discussion with HRH The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle. Jaishree was a speaker at the first AI in Africa Healthcare Summit. In its inaugural year, Envisionit Deep AI was included in the Top 10 Andza Entrepreneur, SA Innovation Summit and recognised in the Top 5 Innovation: Africa Arena SA SME Challenge. The year was wrapped up by being selected for: Africa-UK Female Tech Founders 2020 programme.
